I started working at a grocery store as a cashier for around 2 months now. I only work 2 days a week, part time, as I’m still in school. However, I don’t know what is going on with their scheduling because they keep trying to call me in to take a shift, on the day of. Literally they did not schedule me in to work any shifts this week or next week (2 weeks), I was like whatever, I’ll use that time to focus on my upcoming exams. But they keep calling me and asking if I can come in, even on days that I don’t have my availability opened for. It was so difficult and took so long to find a job since I quit my last one, I was grateful when I found this job but I’m really annoyed with how understaffed they are. I honestly think I will be searching for a new job since they keep calling/leaving voicemails and 90% of the time I do tell them I can’t come in to work. I’m just finding it to be a bit awkward with how I will tell them I’m gonna quit (once I do find a new part time job), only after a few months of working. Any advice? I tend to overthink about situations that haven’t occurred yet submitted by /u/No_Produce5155 |
