I work on a small four person team- there is the boss, a manager, and two staffers (one being me). I was just called by the other staffer who told me that she has been placed on a PIP and that the manager let it slip that I’ll be getting the same fate. Its COB and I haven’t heard anything but am freaking out. I want to call my boss but my colleague doesn’t want everyone to know that she told me.

This is my first salaried job and I’ve been with this team for almost seven years. What should I do? Just wait for the call? The big thing is that I just got accepted at a new (more expensive) apartment that I am supposed to sign the lease for on Monday.
