I used to be terrified at the thought of being called ‘crazy’ – especially by men. The thought of being perceived as anything other than ‘pleasant’ to the outside world scared me. But after a lot of pain – mostly caused by this desperate need to please others – and a lot of work on myself, I realized that no amount of ‘love’, ‘attention’ and ‘affection’ is worth betraying who you really are is.

It’s far better to be called ‘crazy’ than to get rid of yourself and live a life that was never meant for you in the first place.
